Klithikan Market

Pasar Klithikan (Klithikan Market) is a specific market in Yogyakarta that sells mostly secondhand items, just like its name “Klithikan”. In addition to the general market as well known, there is a market called klithikan, specialized markets selling many things so it called with flea market. Before Market Beringharjo renovated in 1991, sales center secondhand goods in this market. After the renovation is completed, many sellers of goods who opt out of the flea market because they are placed on the third floor and had to pay fees more expensive. Some of them move the merchandise on the sidewalk south of the plaza. Now the sidewalks around the square has become a market south Klithikan.

Very diverse merchandise. Ranging from electronic goods, mobile phones, auto parts, antique lamps, bike until a former shoe factory. You can visit to this market on Pasar Klithikan Pakuncen. Jl. HOS Cokroaminoto No. 34 - Yogyakarta. Please enjoy there.

In 1997 economic crisis occurred secondhand goods trade boom in Jogja. Started by a few sellers who spread his wares on the road in the area Kranggan Asem Gede, now sections on the surrounding streets already full by the seller of used goods and become Klithikan market. Like to repeat the history of the trade center in Yogyakarta, from Kranggan Klithikan market extends to the south and now meets along the road side Mangkubumi.
The existence of such a widespread market Klithikan strengthen characters for "small scale economy" in most of the people of Yogyakarta.
